Oh Won-taek / Management Advisor

A business leader, lecturer and author with close to 30 years in corporate management, hotel operations and overseas business. In 2015 he became the founding CEO of Sangsang Stay, the hotel and leisure company set up by KT&G, and until 2025 led the full cycle of its hotel business, from incorporation through the development, opening, operation and sale of Courtyard by Marriott Seoul Namdaemun. Earlier at KT&G he handled global M&A, overseas investment, factory set-up abroad and new-market entry, including post-merger integration after the acquisition of an Indonesian company. He now serves as management advisor to KT&G Sangsang Stay and teaches hotel management strategy, hotel development and operations, organizational communication, and overseas business and risk management as a visiting professor at Yonsei University's Graduate School of Human Environmental Sciences, an adjunct professor at Inha University and a special professor at Daejin University. He studied philosophy at Inha University and holds a master's degree in brand equity from Incheon National University's Graduate School of Business. His book 『버텨낸 밥값의 기록들』 (Hankyung CAREER) came out in March 2026, and he is writing a book on hotel industry management strategy.
