ONDA Signs MOU with Wassong and House Sara for Extended-Stay Property Operations

— Partnership aims to help property owners sell inventory efficiently and run operations smoothly

— Three companies commit to building sustainable partnerships and cleaning up Korea's extended-stay market

(Press release — August 19, 2021) Hospitality B2B platform ONDA announced today it has signed MOUs with extended-stay property operators Wassong and House Sara to jointly develop the extended-stay accommodation market.

The back-to-back signing ceremonies took place yesterday (August 18) at ONDA's headquarters in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam, with ONDA CEO Hyunseok Oh, Wassong CEO Song Min-jun, and House Sara CEO Jang Ho-jin in attendance.

The agreements accelerate ONDA's SoTA Collection expansion. The partnership tackles chronic issues in Korea's extended-stay sector — murky budgets, unclear revenue splits, operational opacity — while maximizing returns for property investors. Together, the three companies plan to build a successful commission-based management system.

Wassong specializes in managing extended-stay properties, including residences, apartments, and villas. The company also handles hotel construction, design, property management, and home IoT systems.

House Sara is deeply plugged into the new accommodation ecosystem — its CEO currently leads Airbnb's host community in Korea. The company is leveraging five years of Airbnb operating know-how to shake up extended-stay hospitality.

Through the partnership, ONDA will expand SoTA Collection's capabilities: property management systems, granular market data, channel connections to leading domestic and international OTAs — all SaaS tools that help owners sell inventory and run properties efficiently.

The three companies will pool decades of operational expertise to collaborate across every phase: building permits, investor recruitment and negotiation, construction, and project execution through completion.

"Extended-stay is hot right now, but the sector has been plagued by opaque operations and low trust between operators and owners," said ONDA CEO Hyunseok Oh. "We're stepping up to fix that. We'll work to build sustainable partnerships between investors and operators — and actively collaborate with like-minded companies to create a healthier extended-stay ecosystem."

ONDA is Korea's first all-in-one hospitality B2B platform, simultaneously running a property management system (PMS), global distribution system (GDS), hotel management services (HM), and SoTA Collection, its commission-based brand. The company recently became Google's first Korean partner for Google Hotels, the search giant's accommodation booking service. (End)
